Officially: the appearance of the new generation Hyundai Solaris is revealed
At the moment, the fresh “four-door” has been announced only for the Indian market, where the model will be offered with two gasoline engines to choose from. The presentation will take place in March.

The first teasers of Hyundai's next-generation compact sedan destined for India were released a week ago. By the way, taking them as a basis, the designer pakwheelz presented his vision of what a car might look like. Well, now the manufacturer himself has distributed a couple of full-fledged branded images, in addition, the premiere date has been named: the model will debut on March 21. Recall that the “four-door” is known to the Indians under the name Verna, in some markets it is Accent, but in Russia the sedan is called Solaris.
The model has changed its image: in Hyundai, the new look is called "sporty" and "fierce". Well, Verna/Solaris really looks spectacular. So, the radiator grille has become wider, plus it was “dropped” to the lower edge of a rather aggressive bumper. The new LED headlights are much lower than the previous sedan, and the daytime running lights are made in the form of a diode strip - like the restyled Sonata and the flagship Grandeur . The younger “four-door” also received a embossed hood and sidewalls, the lights are now combined with a functional die with additional “outgrowths”. Finally, the rear window and trunk have become more sloping.
The brand has not yet declassified the salon, but we have already seen it on spy photos : a scoreboard was installed inside - a tidy and a multimedia system screen were placed in one case.
It was officially announced that in India the new Hyundai Verna will be available only with gasoline engines: this is a 1.5 MPI “aspirated” and a “turbo four” T-GDI of a similar volume (power has not yet been disclosed). Both engines are paired with a six-speed “mechanics”, a seven-speed robotic box with two clutches is still required for the turbo engine. The previous Indian sedan was equipped with a 115-horsepower 1.5-liter “aspirated” and “turbo engine” 1.0 (120 hp), and the predecessor also had a 1.5 CRDi diesel engine with 115 hp.
India is already accepting preliminary applications for the new model. As before, locally produced cars will be sold there. Moreover, it is expected that it is the Indian plant that will become the main production site for the “four-door”: in particular, from there Verna / Accent intend to deliver to the countries of the Middle East and Latin America.
Our Solaris was also supposed to go to the next generation, but due to well-known events, all Russian premieres of the Hyundai-Kia concern are now “on pause”. Whether this “pause” will end at all is not yet known.
