Updated BMW M4: first images
The Bavarian company is preparing a restyling for the fourth family, and test samples have already been captured by photo spies several times. Using the resulting photos, we presented the appearance of the updated models, as well as the top version - the M4 coupe.
The fourth series was first introduced in 2013, when the two-door versions of the three-ruble note were decided to be separated into a separate family. Now the second generation of the model is being produced, the premiere of which took place in early summer 2020. In addition to the two-door coupe, the "four" is offered as a convertible and a 5-door liftback Gran Coupe. At the top of the range is the M4 sports car , which was first shown in the fall of 2020. All these models have caused a mixed reaction due to their unusual appearance, many have not come to terms with the huge "nostrils" of the grille until now. Will restyling change this situation?
So far, there are only photos of the regular coupe and convertible 4 series on the Web, which show that the cars will retain the design of the bumpers and grille. The only visible difference so far is only the optics: new headlights with vertical LED elements of the parking lights will appear in front. The taillights also look new, their graphics aren't quite as visible yet, only more austere horizontal elements are visible instead of the current quad's curved taillight line. There were no photos of test samples of the restyled M4 yet, but we can assume that restyling will also bring new optics to it, and the bumpers and other body elements may remain intact.
The salon will certainly be updated due to the two-screen “scoreboard” of the new multimedia system, which the first serial station wagon in history BMW M3 Touring has already received . Significant changes in the technical part are not expected. The current 4 series is equipped with a wide range of gasoline and diesel engines with power from 184 hp. (420i) up to 374 hp (M440i). The M4 sports car is equipped with a 3-liter inline 6-cylinder engine that produces 510 hp. and 650 Nm of torque.
Today in Russia, the minimum official price tag for a 4 series coupe is 4,450,000 rubles (420i, 184 hp). The top version of the M4 Competition is estimated at a minimum of 9,000,000 rubles in the rear-wheel drive version, the surcharge for xDrive all-wheel drive is 200,000 rubles.
