Supercar McLaren 750S received an upgraded engine and modified chassis
Production of the sports model will start in September this year. To date, the quota for pre-orders for the novelty has almost been selected.

The history of the McLaren company began in 1963, its founders were the American entrepreneur Ted Mayer and the New Zealand Formula 1 driver Bruce McLaren. It is worth noting that this manufacturer took up the development of the so-called “road” (that is, not racing) cars only in 1989, the role of the first-born was played by the McLaren F1, which appeared three years later. The company is now headquartered in England. Today, the brand has unveiled the mid-engined supercar McLaren 750S, which replaced the version with the 720S index.
McLaren 720S went on sale in 2017, and now this version has gone through a planned upgrade. Along with the new index - 750S - the model has acquired a number of new and redesigned components, the list of the latter includes the engine. So, the 4.0-liter V8 biturbo engine was updated due to a revised control program, the use of lighter pistons, and an increase in boost pressure. The result was a 30 bhp increase in recoil. (up to 750 hp, indicated in the new model index), maximum torque - by 30 Nm (up to 800 Nm).
The biturbomotor is still aggregated with a seven-speed preselective "robot", but the developers revised its gear ratios as part of the modernization. The new supercar, like its predecessor, is offered only with rear-wheel drive.
One of the goals of the creators of the McLaren 750S was to reduce the weight of the car. To this end, the manufacturer decided to use a thinner windshield (which made it possible to “lose” 1.6 kg), other forged wheels (13.8 kg lighter), other springs and shock absorbers (2 kg less), and the design and finishing of base chairs with a carbon fiber frame (17.5 kg lighter). Another 1.8 kg turned out to be “winned” due to a different screen of the virtual tidy - the predecessor 720S has a swivel one.
In general, the McLaren 750S coupe turned out to be 30 kg lighter than the 720S version: the dry weight of the novelty is 1277 kg, and the curb weight is 1389 kg. Compared to the 49 kg heavier Spider coupe, they are supported by a two-piece carbon fiber convertible roof that folds/raises in 11 seconds (provided that the speed does not exceed 50 km / h). A panoramic roof is available as an option.
The developers also upgraded the chassis: the supercar was equipped with a third-generation PCC suspension: a hydraulic system connects the shock absorbers and affects rolls. By the way, the shock absorbers themselves are now different, the springs have become softer in front and stiffer in the rear, the hydraulic accumulator has changed, the front track has become 6 mm wider. For a surcharge, the McLaren 750S can be equipped with carbon-ceramic brake discs.
The result of the modernization of the “stuffing” and the reduction in the weight of the supercar was a reduction in the time to accelerate from standstill to “hundreds”: the McLaren 750S takes 2.8 seconds for this (0.1 seconds less than the 720S). The model reaches 200 km/h in 7.2 seconds (0.6 seconds faster), and up to 300 km/h in 19.8 seconds (1.6 seconds faster). At the same time, the maximum speed was reduced from 341 to 332 km/h.
The list of visual differences of the new supercar includes more massive side air intakes, an enlarged active wing, different front and rear fairings, as well as a pair of exhaust pipes located in the center of the stern.
Production of the McLaren 750S will start in September this year. It is worth noting that today the quota for pre-orders for the new product has already been almost completely selected.
